HSBC incorpora pagos criptográficos para préstamos e hipotecas

  • Mega bank HSBC has partnered with the FCF Pay platform.
  • Now, HSBC clients can repay their debts with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

HSBC, the major international bank, has entered into a partnership with the payment system FCF Pay. As part of this collaboration, HSBC clients will be able to pay their mortgage bills and bank loans with cryptocurrencies.

Representatives of the payment service FCF Pay have announced that HSBC now accepts payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Doge, Shiba Inu, and other cryptocurrencies. All payments will be made through the FCF Pay platform.

The payment service representatives stated that the process of repaying a loan using Bitcoin or other digital assets requires three actions: selecting the recipient, adding payment information, and sending the funds.

In 2022, FCF Pay integrated a Visa card and added the ability to use cryptocurrencies for Netflix subscriptions, airline ticket purchases, and Amazon orders. In September 2023, the platform launched a bill payment system with digital assets, supporting around 21,000 companies.

It was previously reported that HSBC is considering the possibility of creating a bank in the metaverse. In June 2023, it offered its clients the ability to trade Bitcoin and Ethereum on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
