Binance advierte sobre posible exclusión de stablecoins

  • Prediction: Binance representative forecasts the delisting of many stablecoins on June 30, 2024.
  • This could happen after the MiCA rules come into effect.

Marina Partuisot, representative of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, has warned of the possible delisting of stablecoins when the European regulation for the regulation of crypto assets (MiCA) comes into effect. Coindesk reports this.

The provisions of MiCA regarding stablecoins will start to be applied in June 2024.

During public hearings organized by the European Banking Authority, Marina Partuisot, the head of the legal department of the French division of Binance, stated:

“We are moving towards delisting all stablecoins in Europe on June 30. This could have a significant impact on the European market compared to the rest of the world.”

The question of how the MiCA framework will be applied to decentralized and foreign issuers of stable currencies is also unclear.

Recall that in August, the Ministry of Digital Transformation voiced the risks of implementing MiCA for the cryptocurrency industry in Ukraine.
